SANCTUARY CHOBE CHILWERO

A chic safari lodge, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero borders the elephant rich Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. In a tranquil setting on a hill above the Chobe River, the lodge offers unparalleled panoramic views across the river, islands and floodplains as far as Namibia. The main public area includes a lounge and dining room which are linked to shaded outdoor viewing patios. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (before afternoon activity) and dinner are served daily, with romantic private dinners arranged on request. There is a full Spa offering a range of treatments; and including a treatment room elevated in the treetops. The lodge also boasts a split level swimming pool set away from the main guest area, a library and curio shop. COTTAGES

Chobe Chilwero’s 15 thatched cottages enjoy an African flavour - the muted colour scheme and spacious rooms offering a tranquil retreat. Each cottage opens up to a verandah with private garden, and command fabulous views. Each has its own en-suite bathroom with a large free-standing modern bath, indoor and outdoor shower, toiletries, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, hairdryer, minibar and complimentary WiFi (cottages only). Every room is allocated a preloaded iPad for guests personal use during their stay.

ACTIVITIES

Activities from Chobe Chilwero include twice daily game drives within Chobe National Park as well as a breakfast cruise and sundowner cruise in specially adapted motorboats. Game drives reveal sable, roan, impala, kudu and red lechwe, as well as the high population of elephant, buffalo and hippo which inhabit the reserve. As the day draws to a close, sip sundowners on a gentle river cruise.
