CAMPING TOURS

Adventure at its wildest

The camping tours are the ultimate adventure tour. Travelling by custom adventure truck, and camping out at night, you can hardly get closer to nature. This journey is hands on, interactive, full throttle exploration, from tackling rugged trails to uncovering off-the-map wonders and immersing in local cultures. With a tight-knit crew of fellow pioneers as well as two experienced guides, camaraderie comes fast, and every day brings a new challenge worth taking. Flexibility, a willingness to participate, an awareness of the elements, and a desire for unlimited adventure, are essential in order to best absorb all these tours have to offer.

You can expect to be involved in the daily tasks for the group, which may include cooking, tidying, or setting up and taking down of camp, and other necessary chores. Group participation and camping out in the wilderness allows these tours to be kept at the best value possible.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What equipment is provided for me?

All tour equipment including cooking and camping equipment, utensils, plates, tents, chairs and the like are provided. A two-person canvas dome tent (1.8m high by 2.1m wide), canvas safari chairs, comfortable camp beds, mobile shower and toilet & cooking facilities are provided.

What do I need to bring?

You are required to bring your own sleeping bag, a towel (or two, one for swimming and one for showers) and a pillow. Other recommended things to pack would be suitable clothes including a rain jacket and hat, basic toiletries, a torch, a water bottle, suncream, a small day bag, and you may wish to bring along an inflatable sleeping mattress.

What accommodation will I be staying in?

On camping tours, many nights will be spent in the two person dome tents provided, however there will likely be some overnight stays in basic accommodations. There also may be the option to upgrade your accommodation from a dome tent to lodge/hotel accommodation on the day, depending on the location and availability.

What is the luggage allowance?

Baggage on all tours is limited to one large bag (barrel bag or internal framed backpack) weighing a maximum of 20kg and a small hand luggage bag or camera bag per person. In order to prevent complications on vehicles, boats and other transportation, this allowance must be adhered to.

Can I do laundry?

A rudimentary laundry service is provided at some overnight stops. This service is only intended as a basic service for clothes and towels.
