OVERNIGHT FLIGHT FROM Ireland TO CAPE TOWN
DAYS 2-5
DISCOVER VIBRANT CAPE TOWN
On arrival into Cape Town International Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel/guesthouse for your 4-night stay. Enjoy the attractions of one of the world’s most spectacular cities, including Table Mountain; the V&A Waterfront; Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens; the Cape of Good Hope; Robben Island, and many more.
Just a 45-minute drive from Cape Town and you’re in the scenic mountains and valleys of the Winelands. Experience the historical and cultural heritage of the region while visiting quaint villages and vibrant townships, outdoor museums and galleries, open-air theatres and outdoor art and craft exhibitions. For the more adventurous visitor there are activities such as canoeing, 4x4 trails, horse-riding, hiking, mountain biking, rock pool swimming, abseiling and kloofing.
YOUR ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
Blackheath Lodge, a Victorian guest house, built in the 1880s, situated below Signal Hill in Sea Point on the Atlantic Seaboard in Cape Town, a stone’s throw from the beautiful waterfront.
Framed by the ocean and Table Mountain, the elegance, location and comfort of the Victoria & Alfred Hotel is rivalled only by its relaxed atmosphere and warm personal service.
DAYS 6-12
FLY (VIA JOHANNESBURG) TO ZANZIBAR
On arrival into Zanzibar you will be met and transferred to your hotel where you will spend the next 7 nights. There are a number of fabulous hotels and resorts on Zanzibar, many with spectacular ocean-front locations with staggering views of the powder white sand and the tropical waters beyond. From large, exclusive resorts to boutique hotels, to authentic African beach lodges, Zanzibar boasts a fantastic array of accommodation to ensure your visit is truly memorable.
Although consisting of over 50 islands and islets, Zanzibar is largely made up of two islands, Unguja (the bigger and most populated of the two - often referred to as Zanzibar) and Pemba.
YOUR ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
Pongwe is a well run, good value for money and authentic African beach lodge on the east coast of the island, set in pleasant grounds and bordering a lovely sandy beach and the ocean.
On the South East coast of the island Breezes is a popular independent hotel, on a wonderful stretch of tidal beach, with good facilities and it retains a personal feel and plenty of atmosphere.
It is very different from Zanzibar's main island (Unguja), with only a few places to stay and a real feeling of peace and quiet. 18 thatch and canvas rooms and suites are all comfortably furnished.
